This four-day event was a productive experience for the Terrapin Blue family of companies, which includes GRIP, and served as an opportunity for our team to network with motorcoach industry professionals.

At our booth throughout the event’s Product Pavilion portion, we met hundreds of professionals that represent a variety of groups in the travel industry, including bus operators, hotel owners and destination marketing organizations. Eager to hear about the diverse array of services that our family of companies provides, these individuals learned a great deal about Terrapin Blue throughout Marketplace.

Launched by the GRIP team this past summer, Radio Free Athens is a free Internet radio station dedicated to provide local bands and musicians with a louder voice to help our city gain even more notoriety in the national music scene. Our goal: to broadcast the best of local Athens music and give online listeners more of what they love, in an easily accessible format.

Radio Free Athens currently broadcasts an all-local library broken into several genre-based blocks, including: rock, classical, jam, southern music, and even an Elephant-6 block. With a recent site redesign and re-launch, we’re even more attuned to delivering you with the music you want to hear – when you want to hear it.

Our new design features a pop-out online music player, in addition to the latest news stories on stuff you care about locally – articles on your favorite musicians, venues and info on upcoming live shows – as well as a weekly schedule, so that you know when we’ll be playing your favorite style of music. But that’s not it – there are even bigger features coming to Radio Free Athens in the coming weeks!

“Live from the Green Room,” one of our most anticipated featured programs, is coming soon and will be broadcast on Wednesdays every two weeks. This listening experience will feature local bands and artists, whose live performances in our intimate on-site recording studio will be streamed to the website in real-time for your pleasure!
